ABOUT PHIL GOSS
Phil Goss lives and works in the UK as a psychotherapist and university lecturer. He is well-published in the psychotherapeutic field; drawing on his own Jungian inflected perspectives around gender, education, spirituality and social issues, He has also published a guide to Jungian psychology (‘Jung: A Complete Introduction’, Hodder and Stoughton, 2015). ‘Open the Curtains’ is Phil’s first novel and it brings to life long-standing themes of deep interest to him about life, loss and the search for meaning.
Phil has also been composing and writing music for a number of years – this has included both vocal and instrumentally based songs and pieces of music, much of which has also been influenced by the themes represented in ‘Open the Curtains’. He is now pleased to be able to bring both his writing and music together in this exciting and innovative way online, on this site, combining two mediums of creative expression which are of significant importance to Phil alongside his therapeutic work with clients; his teaching with adults who are training to be counsellors and psychotherapists, and of course his family (and chocolate Labrador!).
Phil has dedicated ‘Open the Curtains’ to his mother. He hopes this project will be of interest to you and that you will find meaning and enjoyment in the story and music he has written.
